Thailand is a country that has always fascinated me since I first saw the movie The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio. A country as beautiful as it is rich in contradictions.
This summer there is a trend that comes from that country: the colorful hand-embroidered bags with the shoulder full of pom pon. They are made by the tribes of northern Thailand, between Pai and Chiang Rai and the Myanmar border. Akha, Lisu and Karen are the northern tribes that make these small gems of art.

La Thailandia è un paese che mi ha sempre affascinato da quando ho visto per la prima volta il film The Beach con Leonardo Di Caprio. Un Paese tanto bello quanto ricco di contraddizioni.
Quest'estate c'è un trend che deriva proprio da quel Paese: le borse coloratissime ricamate a mano con tracolla ricca di pon pon.Sono realizzate dalle tribù della parte settentrionale della Thailandia, tra Pai e Chiang Rai e il confine con il Myanmar. Akha, Lisu e Karen sono le tribù del nord che realizzano questi piccoli gioielli d'arte.
