Black and White

Il 27 Giugno Daphne Guiness, ereditiera irlandese e icona di stile numero uno, ha messo all'asta 100 tra i suoi abiti più belli da Christie's a Londra. Molte camicie bianche con rouches, giacche nere (i due colori preferiti di Daphne), scarpe dal tacco vertiginoso e abiti su misura.
   Il ricavato della vendita all'asta è stato devoluto alla Isabella Blow Foundation (talent scout morta suicida che aveva scoperto Alexander McQueen) che supporta talenti emergenti dell'arte e della moda.

June 27 Daphne Guiness, Irish heiress and style icon number one, has auctioned 100 of her best clothes for Christie's of London. Many white shirts with ruffles, black jackets ( the two Daphne's favorite colors), high heels shoes and tailored suits.
The proceeds from the auction were donated to the Foundation Isabella Blow (talent scout who discovered Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide) that support emerging talent in art and fashion.

Stripes

Righe: Picasso le indossava durante i suoi soggiorni nel sud della Francia, Coco Chanel se ne era innamorata durante un soggiorno a Deuville e  il celebre fotografo francese Henry Cartier Bresson ritraeva spesso giovani con le magliette da marinaretto. 

Nate come capo semplice e da lavoro, le magliette a righe, con la loro ironia, sono riuscite ad affascinare grandi personalità. Semplice è bello. 

Stripes: Picasso used to wearing it during his stays in the south of France, Coco Chanel fell in love in her vacation in Deuville and the famous photograph Henry Cartier Bresson often depicted young men with sailor t-shirts.

Born as simple and workwear, the striped shirts, with their irony, have managed to charm great personalities. Simple is beautiful.

Scented emotions

A volte i profumi ci fanno ricordare e provare emozioni molto più intense che i semplici ricordi.

Frida Kahlo è grande ispiratrice delle tendenze di questa estate 2012. Pittrice messicana del Novecento, icona moda anticonvenzionale, piena di charme, bella, intelligente e creativa. Femminilità e sensualità uniti al gioco, in cui i colori e i ricami a filo sia geometrici che floreali propongono una donna sognatrice.

Frida Kahlo is great inspiration for trends this summer 2012. Mexican painter of the twentieth century, unconventional fashion icon, full of charm, beautiful, intelligent and creative. Femininity and sensuality joined the game, in which colors and thread embroidery both floral and geometric propose a dreamer.

Pure jasmine

Il colore più indefinito di tutti: il bianco è colore e non colore al tempo stesso. 

Tuttavia, nonostante questa vacuità, ogni estate siamo inesorabilmente attratte da tutte le sue nuances. 

La luce intensa di giugno, le case tipiche delle isole, le camicie di lino, il fruscio dei vestiti lunghi, le farfalle che libere volano nel cielo, il profumo del gelsomino che inebria le anime, le candide rose che sbocciano....immagini di vita ed emozioni. 

Perché il bianco, con candore e charme, ci fa capire che l'estate è arrivata!  

The color of the indefinite: white is color and not color at the same time.

However, despite this emptiness, every summer we are inexorably drawn to all its nuances.

The intense light of june, the typical houses of the islands, linen shirts, long dresses swishing, butterflies flying free in the sky, jasmine's scent inebriating souls, white roses blooming....images of life and emotions.

Because White, with candor and charm, let us understand that summer is here!

Men's Inspiration

Dopo l'edizione annuale di Pitti Uomo a Firenze, dal 19 al 22 Giugno, tutti gli addetti ai lavori si sposteranno a Milano per seguire i tre giorni di sfilate dal 23 al 26 Giugno di Milano Moda Uomo.

Ed ecco allora che il favoloso mondo della moda maschile invade le due città italiane capitali della moda: tailleur, giacche, camicie dal taglio sartoriale, bretelle, cravatte.... 

Che bello reinterpretare i capi maschili al femminile, lo trovo divertente e molto chic!
